Extension Services

MissMelHair Studio provides Sew-In Weft and Tape-In Extension Installs. Mel is certified in 3 extension brands and also carries her own brand line, MissMelHair Extensions. MMH Extensions outsources 100% Remy human hair from North and South Indian Temples and China/Cambodia countries. The hair should last up to 9 months to a year with proper care. Please refer to the extension care brochure for after care to keep your extensions lasting longer! Other brands include Covet and Mane, Babe Hair, and Dreamcatchers Hair. She has been experienced in doing hair extensions for 4 years and will provide each client a recommendation of the extension brand that will best suit each client based on their goals and hair type.

*All extension services include the install, haircut to blend, and curls/waves. Does not include a wash and blow dry. Clients are required to come in with clean and dry hair.

Consultation

All extension services are required to have an in-person consultation prior to installation. Here you will receive a quote for hair deposit and hair install fee. It is recommended to book the consultation at least 2 weeks before service date. This time is necessary for custom coloring and shipping from MissMelHair Extension vendors. Hair deposit is due at time of consultation or at least 2 weeks before extension install service appointment, otherwise the install service appointment may be subject to cancellation.

Installation

Install services that have the goal of length, at minimum 200 grams must be ordered. For services that are only for volume, 100 grams may be fine. For clients who want length, 2-3 rows of sew-in weft are needed. For volume clients, 1-2 rows may be fine.

A cut to blend extensions and natural hair is included along with curls/waves with an iron.

Maintenance

Maintenance for extension services are very important to prevent breakage and dreading of the natural hair. For tape-in and sew-in weft methods, it is recommended to come in for an extension move up service every 6-8 weeks. These services do not include a wash and blow dry. Clients are required to arrive with fresh, clean and dry hair. Otherwise, a Shampoo and Finish service must be booked prior to appointment to allow for time if requested by client.
